In the spring all members of the Deer
family (including Moose and Elk) loose or "shed" their antlers, and
each year a new set of antlers is re-grown. These "shed" antlers are
highly coveted; in fact there is actually a sport known as "shed
horn hunting"! Each year, local enthusiasts rake the woods looking
for these treasures, which can be simply admired in their natural
state, or turned into useful and beautiful furnishings for you to
enjoy in your home. Antler art is in high demand, and
makes a beautiful and unique addition to many types of décor. |
